The Grey Collaborative events

An interactive experience to create meaningful, high-end art for your home.

Whether it’s your wedding, a corporate happy hour, baby shower, or birthday party- there’s never a bad time to make beautiful art. Before your special event, we discuss the canvas size, colors, and vision for your painting. On the day of the event, I will work with your guests to create rich, colorful, textured base layers. This is a fun environment that will expose your guests to a variety of techniques and materials. After the session, I will work on the piece at my studio. I always focus on highlighting the parts your guests were most intentional about, while making the piece beautiful enough to hang in your home.

Why the Grey Collaborative?

The idea for the Grey Collaborative as an experience came to me while my daughter and I were passing the time while my son was napping. We began painting together, and by the time we had finished, I realized that the process of creating art with her was just as beautiful as the finished piece. I wanted to fit this lightning in a bottle: the joy on my daughter’s face, the self-expression that she experienced, and the beautiful work of art we made together.

I first began my professional career as a teacher. Talking with my students, I realized they often had so many colorful ideas, but when it came to reviewing for a test they would ask for black-and-white answers. When faced with a grey area, not knowing what an answer should be, I would always encourage them to think outside the box. When it comes to The Grey Collaborative, I want your guests to feel comfortable using different colors. While working on the piece after the session, I always focus on highlighting the parts that you and your guests were most intentional about, while making the piece beautiful enough to hang in your home.

Out of these concepts, “The Grey Collaborative'' was born. This is our story, and I can’t wait to paint with y’all.
